Scientology Church in Cape Town Looking to be Ideal Organization

Scientology Cape Town

A friend just sent me this logo for the new Church of Scientology in Cape Town, South Africa, along with some news about his church which is purchasing larger premises and is looking to be one of the next Ideal Scientology Organizations.

Well, ‘new’ probably isn’t the right word for the Scientology Church in Cape Town, seeing as though it actually has been around for ever, and was one of the first such Scientology Churches — started around 1955 when Scientology first came to South Africa. Johannesburg was first with Scientology, but then churches in Pretoria, Durban, Cape Town, etc sprang up all over southern Africa.

Now, I’ve never been to Cape Town, but from everything I’ve seen the place is utterly gorgeous. It also has one of the most dedicated corps of Scientology Volunteer Ministers anywhere, having proven their mettle in the Table Mountain fires that happened last year.

I know also that they’ve been working tirelessly to better the literacy level in the area, as that’s one of the social ruins of Cape Town — tremendous natural resources, and a literacy and productivity level which is too low to totally utilize them.

So, I’m definitely interested in what a greatly expanded Scientology church in Cape Town might bring. I’ve already seen what it can do for Johannesburg, which if you read through the Scientology news from the last year, there are some pretty amazing things which have been happening since the Ideal org was put in Joburg.

In any case, it’s something to keep your eye on if you’ve an interest in South Africa.
