CNN Says Tom Cruise Bio is an "Air Sandwich”

January 10, 2008 7 comments

CruiseEntertainment weekly writer Mark Harris certainly got it right this time, on this article I found on CNN.

The recently-release Tom Cruise “bio” by Andrew Morton is an unqualified disaster, actually worse — an unqualified piece of nothingness.

I guess that’s what you get when you’re doing an “unauthorized biography” — tons of meaningless trivia and false information, because the author himself couldn’t verify his facts with the person he’s doing a bio on.

Honestly, it’s the same as any other attempt to generate “controversy” when speaking of a genuinely, honest-to-god, good person.   It’s the history of L. Ron Hubbard, who has had just about every vested-interest, hatchet-job writer from the last 50 years attempt to sully his reputation, utterly failing each time because the hatchet jobs are based on lies.  It’s the same with Mr. David Miscavige, or Tom Cruise.

I was blogging the same thing a few months ago when another “viral” round of hatchet-job posts were going around concerning the school in Oregon that Tom Cruise send his kids to. It’s trying to make a story out of nothing, so as to either (a) make a lame attempt at a swipe at Scientology, or (b) just gain a few more hits to spike your AdSense revenue.

Pretty lame in my book, which is the slot this bio falls into as well.

Environmental Friendliness, Electric Cars and Conspiracy Theories

September 7, 2007 Leave a comment

Sorry, guys, but I have an immense backlog.

I’ve been busy as all hell, and haven’t been able to attend to my Scientology Orgs blog or my high-tech Scientologist network engineer blog or really any of this lately.  This is despite the fact of my having more to talk about these days than I have ever had in the past. I think it works out that way sometimes though — especially for me.  Whenever I have the most going on, and the most cool stuff to talk about, I have the least time.  Go figure.

So, I’ll touch on a few things.

First, you have to remind me to write on, and finish my train of thought on Green Business, electricy cars and conspiracy theory regarding such.  I’ve seen a plethora of articles lately on the new “green business” and how all of the sudden there’s business in being environmentally friendly.  However, if you know the first thing about L. Ron Hubbard‘s investigatory technology, (covered in the Scientology Handbook or in the Data Series which is in the Scientology administrative volumes among other places) there’s a ton more than meets the eye on this.  I.e., if we’ve had electric cars since 1910, why is it that they are still commercially unviable and have been repeatedly nuked off the market?  Why is it that the best hybrid car, with an immense amount of technology built into it, is only capable of a measly 60mpg?   What in the hell happened to the GM Impact?  (REALLY)

Anyhow – that’s a backlogged blog post that I’ve been meaning to do for some time.  So, somebody remind me of this.

Second, there’s the Basics!  I’ve made a post or two on this since their release by Mr. David Miscavige in July, but since then I have had so many instances of reading Dianetics or other books as part of the Basics whereby I said, “ah!  I have to post that in my blog!”  And then I forget.  So, that’s another backlog.  I’ll see if I can’t catch that one up.

Studying Scientology from Home

As mentioned previously, after the release of the Scientology Basics by Mr. David Miscavige, I picked myself up a copy of the full chronological study of Scientology books — something I’ve always wanted to read from end-to-end.  I read up through Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health, but after cooking on that for a while I decided that it’d be best to just do the home study course so that I can really get all I can get out of it.   My pack is meant to get to me sometime today or tomorrow, so I’ll soon be able to start!

As a note, the new Extension Course is available in any Church of Scientology — all you have to do is just go to their website — like the one for London Org, and sign up.  You can live anywhere and still get a full understanding and working knowledge of how to use Scientology and Dianetics.

New Scientology Basics

July 27, 2007 1 comment

While usually I have tried to blog on a daily basis, I’ve recently been too tied up with a number of things to be able to talk about the one thing I’ve been dying to blog about for weeks — the release of the new Scientology Basics.

Released by Mr. David Miscavige (the Chairman of the Board of Religious Technology Center, holder of the Scientology and Dianetics trademarks) at the Flag Land Base in Clearwater, these materials represent an immense project to restore all of L. Ron Hubbard‘s materials on Scientology to exactly how Mr. Hubbard intended them to be.

At the event itself where they were unveiled, Mr. David Miscavige outlined for close to three hours the painstaking work that had gone into individually verifying every single item as being 100% true to what Mr. Hubbard had written, and stripping out ‘editorial corrections’ done back when they were originally transcribed, which has clouded the books themselves and made them more difficult to understand.

Combined with detailed glossaries that have been added, these books now provide a crystal-clear path to being able to understand the Scientology Religion quickly an easily.

I’ve already gotten my set of Scientology Basics, gotten as a set as they are meant to be studied in an exact sequence.  I’ve read all the way through them once, and now am reading them along with their accompanying lecture set – as each time Mr. Hubbard wrote one of these Scientology books, he also gave lectures explaining the concepts he put in the book. The result is complete understanding of the Scientology Religion.

If I were someone new trying to find out what Scientology was, I can now say that the single best thing to do is not to ask someone, and definitely not to try to grok it through random pages on the net — but instead to just pick up the first book in Scientology – which is The Problems of Work, and just read it.  It literally will only take you a few hours, and then you’ll know what it is Scientology is and what it can do for you.

Scientology Disaster Response Specialist Course embraced by firefighters of Maharashtra

February 6, 2007 Leave a comment

I just found this outstanding article on the Afternoon Dispatch & Courier newspaper site, a newspaper from Bombay (Mumbai), India.
The Scientology Volunteer Ministers Program has been spreading all over India of late (as this story goes over) and fire fighters and police stations all over are getting involved as the program provides simple, effective solutions they can use.
Here’s the article:
Scientology, founded by Mr. L. Ron Hubbard, means “Knowing How To Know” and hundreds of thousands have been seeing a group of people all over Mumbai in yellow shirts who have, as their logo, “Something Can Be Done About It.”

At the National Fire Service College training centre in Taloja over the past two weeks there has been a training course with a difference. The Scientology International Volunteers who have been in Mumbai for the past few weeks as part of their tour throughout India, were requested to train up a group of fire sub officers who are shortly due to be posted throughout the country.
The fact that the Scientology Volunteers had already trained up the West Bengal Home Civil Defence trainers to spectacular results as well as the CRPF 73rd Bn in Delhi may or may not have had something to do with the fact that when Mathew Andrews, the Scientology Public Exec walked in to the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai, he was, literally within minutes seen by the Disaster Management Dept CEO Mr. Vaidya as well as the Deputy Commissioner in charge of Disaster Management Mr. Hire.

Within the next couple of hours it was approved for top men from the health, education and disaster management departments along with the Mumbai Fire Brigade to undertake the Scientology training. The Nariman Point Fire Station was given to the Scientology Goodwill Tour to use to put up their distinctive “Something Can Be Done About It” yellow tent. This is where the first of the training was conducted at the end of December and where people from all walks of life are coming daily to do a Scientology course.

After an introductory training to this group, Mr. Rahangdale, the Divisional Fire Officer Mumbai Fire Brigade (who offered his Nariman Point Fire Station as a venue) introduced Mathew to the Director of Maharashtra Fire & Emergency Service, Government of Maharashtra, Mr. Deshmukh.
Mr. Deshmukh, happy with the proposed training, demanded a full briefing with his officers at their headquarters. A presentation on Scientology Disaster Response occurred on the 10th of January. Some of the firefighter executives travelled 800-1000 kilometres to attend the one hour presentation. Simply stated, all 15 attendees at this presentation were very excited about effective and workable technology. Within two days the venue had been arranged and the training started to officers from Maharashtra as well as to officers of a further 10 Indian states.

By the 27th of January, there was a graduation ceremony held with this batch. This not only included the officers in training but the top firefighter trainers of Maharashtra, Mr. Waghmare and Mr. Gaekwad who daily attended the intensive delivery of the course.
In the words of some of the graduates:
“Before using this technology, I really didn’t know how to study. I just tried to memorise without going into the depth of the concept, neglecting the hard words and without using the dictionary. This resulted in me forgetting everything after my final exam; and tried to neglect some subjects which I had the least interest. And now, after using this technology I realise that I was completely wrong. I realised that anything can be learnt in this world by the proper use of this study technology. Now, I am confident that by using this technology I can be an expert in any field, no matter how hard it is,” said A. Boro.

“Since we are involved in the field of fire service this knowledge which I have acquired from the book [Basics of Organising by Mr. L. Ron Hubbard] will play a significant role in achieving success in my career. The method of organising and its subdivision can be applied in any field, for example in business, service, profession, management and 100% accuracy is going to be achieved,” said S. Khan.

“Really it’s amazing to be a part of it,” (Ms. S. Rawat). “After reading Communication I have gained concentration and confidence in myself,” (Mr. P. Panwan). “I solved my hesitation problem,” (Mr. K. Patil). “This course is the most unbelievable experience in my life,” (Mr. S.K. Sharma).

This same training is now intended to be implemented into the National Fire Service College and the Maharashtra State Fire Training Centre, Government of Maharashtra, by Mr. Waghmare who stated, “I learnt the technology very deeply and seriously. Above all I am confident and able to use this technology in my life as well as in my job effectively. I will also be able to teach this technology to as many persons including my staff members that will help them in developing and making them capable of handling any situation effectively.”
As the Founder of Scientology, Mr. L. Ron Hubbard put it: “Insecurity exists in the absence of knowledge. All security derives from knowledge.”

Meanwhile, the Scientology Volunteers are training people on courses from The Technology of Study through to Basics of Organising, Communication, Targets and Goals at the big yellow tent at Nariman Point Fire Brigade Station. There are 19 courses in all being delivered, seven days a week, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. These are being delivered so that anyone can effectively apply the data to their own lives as well as to and for family and friends and society in general.

New Church of Scientology on the way for Atlanta

November 21, 2006 Leave a comment

The Church of Scientology of Atlanta is well on its way to new premises, which it planning on renovating over the coming months.  It has well outgrown its present location in Dunwoody, GA and is now to be moving to much more prominent quarters which totally exude the Southern Style of Atlanta.

The goal for all Atlanta-area Scientologists is to build a true Ideal Scientology Organization, in the same vein as was done for New York, Buffalo, San Francisco and Johannesburg – where the organization is capable of providing a level of service to the community commensurate with the importance and size of Atlanta.

More Cute-Ness (isn’t this supposed to be an Engineering Blog?)

November 19, 2006 1 comment

Tom & Katie: Their Big Day | THAT’S OUR GIRL | Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes, Suri Cruise : People.com

I know, I’m an engineer and this is supposed to just be an engineering blog about tech stuff, but unfortunately my Flock browser has sent me off-topic yet again with its little right-click “blog this” feature.   Oh, well.  I’m still a sucker for cute photos.

Today’s wedding has given us no shortage of such, however.  Mr. David Miscavige was the best man, and Katie’s sister Nancy Blaylock served as the matron of honor.

Church of Scientology Johannesburg: Grand Opening, Mr. David Miscavige, Chairman of the Board Religious Technology Center

Okay – so I’m definitely liking the Flock thing for Blogging.  Works great with my WordPress blog.  However, part of what I wanted to do with this was basically replace the functionality I have with Stumbleupon with a blog-based setup like this.

However, the only thing I have been able to get to work so far in Flock has been my WordPress blog.  A brand-new blogger blog I set up expressly to use for this won’t work.  Another existing blog from long ago won’t work.  API stuff didn’t work.  Hm.  Well, I guess I’m sticking with WordPress then.

I was going to use that Blogger blog to blog about Johannesburg – which I love dearly, and wished I could be at for the Grand Opening of their new space.  However, once again, it lands here on WordPress.

Release of L. Ron Hubbard Clearing Congress DVD’s by Mr. David Miscavige

November 6, 2006 Leave a comment

David Miscavige

In March of this year, it was announced by Mr. David Miscavige at the L. Ron Hubbard birthday celebration that the Clearing Congress lectures L. Ron Hubbard gave in Washington, D.C. in the 50′s were fully restored and put into DVD format for anyone to see. This whole presentation by Mr. Miscavige was recently put on-line on the Religious Technology Center website.

As an engineer, I can definitely appreciate the amount of work that went into this. As one can imagine, over a 50-year time period, films start to deteriorate and die, leaving much to be desired on colour and detail. Just look at what they had to do with the original Star Wars films, and they were done only in 1977.

Now these films are available to all – and having watched them all myself earlier in the year, I can appreciate the level of communication they now afford. I would definitely recommend them to anyone wanting to find out the nitty-gritty on what Scientology is about straight from the Founder himself.
